Were you wondering how the Joker was going to be able to fight against a heavyweight like Sonya Blade? Check out the video and see what the Clown Prince of Crime has in store.
On a related note, Topless Robot is reporting four new kombatants: Wonder Woman, Deathstroke the Terminator, Raiden and Kano.
Movie Web has a sneak peek at the next Marvel DVD, hitting stores September 2nd. Taking place some years in the future, the movie tells the tale of the children of some Avengers as they band together to hold back Ultron's return.
Waiting for a New Avengers or Runaways DVD? Sit back, it'll be a while.
This really speaks for itself.
I think the He-Man segment wins, but the second Spider-Man cut is pretty funny as well.
I don't know if this is the coolest thing ever or the saddest.
Either way, they chose a good book to put to film.

Marvel.com has the first actual trailer (bottom of the page) for Web of Shadows shown at San Diego Comic Con; as well as a few images from the game. The trailer looks fantastic and it looks like they got Spidey's abilities to work very well within the game.
Without hesitation, players can don Spidey's traditional red suit equipped with all of its long-adored grace and agility or switch to the raw power of the black, symbiote-ravaged suit. Gamers can switch at anytime to create unstoppable combos, experience new upgrades and fight both horizontally and vertically on some of the slickest and most precarious surfaces in video games. And there's no need to worry about the camera mucking up the action. "Web of Shadows" has a context-sensitive camera that won't make everyone's favorite webslinger hurl more than his fiercest attacks against his foes.
Wolverine clearly guest stars, but there are hints of other characters joining Spidey or fighting against him. On top of that, the city apparently is quite destructable, on thing that has been missing in so many superhero games (granted, mainly due to hardware limitations).
Want to obliterate whole blocks with powerful attacks? Go ahead. Just remember that the gamers' actions are laden with consequences. Scorch the city in fire to rid it of the alien invasion or slice out the symbiote like a surgeon. Take some of Marvel's greatest characters and make them your ooze-soaked adversaries or relish the opportunity to fight side by side. The choices are yours.
Let's hope it's as good as it sounds!
Sadly, no Lynda Carter this time around.
While I was very much not a fan of Superman/Doomsday, was underwhelmed with Justice League: New Frontier and didn't see the point to Batman: Gotham Knight, I'm excited for this new DC direct-to-DVD feature. It's a ways off, admittedly, but it's looking good so far.
First, take the Angry Video Game Nerd. Now replace video games with comics, and replace angry with cute and you have the Gay Comic Geek. Ok, maybe not exactly, but you see where I'm going with this. Recently spotted at Comic-Con with some hot makey-outey Shazam action, the Gay Comic Geek has several videos dedicated to highlighting or reviewing certain comics. He does the obvious things like Young Avengers and the current Secret Invasion, but he also focuses on more...lesser-known risque gay comics too. The amount of censored bars in those videos is always pretty hilarious. The video here is his review for recent Will Smith epic, Hancock (so far, my favorite out of the lot). Most of the others are nice recaps of what have been going on in certain series. If you have a boyfriend (or girlfriend, if you're into that sort of thing) that want to get into comics, let them watch a couple of the Gay Comic Geek's videos and get caught up. You can check out his YouTube page for all the other videos.
A sequel to the forthcoming Hulk Vs. Wolverine, here's the first look at the direct-to-DVD Hulk Vs. Thor.
It looks rather nice, actually. I like the idea of Hulk running amok in Asgard as I don't recall seeing it before. I guess they'll wait to see how these two movies sell before they greenlight more, but without seeing them yet I'd be down for a series of Hulk Vs ... DVDs.

[Editor's note: the official trailer can now be viewed here.]
Hey, guess what movie is coming out next year that I don't care a lick about?
(Before I get burned in effigy, I like the book just fine. I just don't think it can justly translated to the screen.)
UPDATE Now that you've had the chance to watch it, what'd you think?
This could very well be the best thing to ever appear on the internet.
Check out more after the jump.

After a brief appearance as a bootleg, the official trailer for The Spirit has hit the interweb. Sadly, you can only find it at Yahoo Movies, but take what you can get.
Now, granted I've never been a huge fan of the property but I respected Will Eisner's talent all the same. I thought Frank Miller did too, but he seems to have just made a less "death and prostitutes" version of Sin City. I don't see Eisner's essence in this trailer at all.
Am I the only one who isn't a big fan of Frank Miller as a film writer/director?
First there was Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, now we have DC Universe Online. The game will be a MMORPG that lets you create your own heroes and villains and fight alongside the DC charters. Imagine City of Heroes if they were to license Gotham and Metropolis.
"Oh Lois, you SO don't want to know!"
