I've already posted on the super-powered podcast Playing For Keeps. If you didn't check it out then, today is the final episode! Find out what happens to Keepsie and her friends. It all comes to a dramatic conclusion. Listen now or start getting caught up on the first fourteen episodes.
You can subscribe to the podcast on iTunes or at Playingforkeepsnovel.com.

One of my weekly pleasures these days is the super-powered podcast Playing For Keeps. It's a story about Keepsie, a bar owner in Seventh City, birthplace of super-powers. Where Superheroes and Villains battle in the skies above the city, while the less powerful "third-wavers" go about their lives below, legally prohibited from fighting crime.
Keepsie and her friends live among egotistical heroes and manipulative villains, and manage to fall directly in the middle as people with powers, but who just aren't strong enough to make a difference. Or that's what they've been told. As the city begins to melt down, it's hard to tell who are the good guys and who are the bad.
Keepsie's power is that she can't be stolen from. Ever. Still useful, if not useful for stopping a runaway train. This week the podcast hits Episode #10. Each episode usually has a guest star to do the intro, (this week is Hygena, from Who Wants To Be A Superhero, Season 2), the the author, Mur Lafferty, does the reading.
You can find playing for keeps on iTunes, (or use this link), and playingforkeepsnovel.com, which also contains other podcasts and fan stories featuring other characters in the Seventh City Universe. The story is also available on Lulu.com as a hardcover or softcover book!
"Oh Lois, you SO don't want to know!"
Comic of the Week
Well, I was expecting Dark Willow to trounce the competition with her godlike powers, but last week the winner was none other than the Authority, for the touching moment between Apollo and Midnighter in this apocalyptic world that Wildstorm has become. This week we take a look at scenes from Fantastic Four, Runaways/Young Avengers, Captain Britain, Green Lantern Corps, Secret Invasion, and Final Crisis: Revelations. (whoo that's a lot!) So join me after the jump, and be warned. Spoilers lie beyond. So if you still have to pick up any of these books, don't read ahead because it'll ruin the surprise!...
