Marvel has just released this little tease. Make what you will of it and discuss in the comments below!
Just for fun, I pinged Sean McGrath (creator of Frater Mine) to help me make this into an impromptu Mad Libs...it was very difficult to keep the shenanigans PG-13.

Iron Man continued to hold the number one spot at the box office, despite attacks from Speed Racer and the Ashton Kutcher/Cameron Diaz generic romcom Let's Be Pretty And Do Stuff In Vegas (or something like that). Iron Man took in an additional $50.5 million dollars, making it the highest grossing movie of the year so far. Sadly, Speed Racer almost tied the aforementioned (though not in name) What Happens In Vegas in sales with $20.2 million vs $20 million.
This weekend, it looks like Iron Man will finally be dethroned as the new Chronicles of Narnia film debuts on Friday.
Box Office Guru Wrapup: Iron Man Rocks, Speed Racer Stalls: [Rotten Tomatoes]

And we're back to regular programming!
A big thanks to Goblin and the rest of the PK staff for taking care of the PK secret lair in my absence and doing an excellent job!
Onto the news!
Newsarama recently interviewed J. Michael Straczynski on his DC debut, The Brave and the Bold. He's going to be taking over that title later this year and promised to make some interesting team ups that do not involve Batman (as the title is historically known for). Expect to see unexpected team ups like Two-Face/Hawk and Dove, Challengers of the Unknown/Metal Men, Atom/Joker, and Batman/Dial H among others.
Don't expect continuity to come into play (which is a little disappointing to me) but be on the look out for JMS' signature strong character portrayals.

Secret Invasion #2 has arrived! Does it get better than issue #1? Is it worth picking up? Is your mother a Skrull? Find out after the jump!
Also be sure to stay tuned for our weekly reviews later today!

Another week, another fine selection of comics coming to you tomorrow. Who's here to help pick the cream of the crop? Why us, of course!

Ahoy there!
Catch up with what transpired in the underground PK lair this past week!

Rottentomatoes has been tracking reviews for Iron Man and so far, the movie is scoring a very high 94% with 144 reviews being taken into account. This means that Spider-Man 2 has been toppled from its throne (93%).
I personally have not seen it (going tonight!) but you can check out Goblin's review here.
This bodes well for Marvel, as Iron Man is its first Marvel Entertainment produced movie (The Incredible Hulk being movie #2).
Will you folks be checking it out?
[Edit: Just came back from watching it, and it certainly deserves all of its praise! The only weak spot that the film had was Gwyneth Paltrow, but I think I may be in the minority here. And yes, you definitely have to stay till the end of the credits for absolute fan service done well.]

Raise your hands if you read DC Universe: Zero?
Good. Now raise your hands if you thought....
Actually, in order to prevent a spoilergate, hit the jump for this weekend's Say What question.

Don't forget to check out all the free comic goodness tomorrow at your local comic shop! You can see the list of freebies here.
You can bet that a lot of comic shops will be having their own discount specials and sales as well. I know for a fact that my LCS, Lee's Comics, is promising heavy discounts on back issues, trades, and all sorts of items.
As for my regular weekend reading, I'll be checking out book 2 of the Strangers in Paradise pocket collection trades, as well as the hardcover collection of Messiah Complex (I can finally get all caught up with the X-Men!). I'm also tempted to nab the new Thor collection (collecting issues 1-6 of the current series), but I think my wallet needs a break.
And for the few of you interested, I'm still chugging away at my level 49 warrior in WoW over on Blade's Edge! It's Children's Week so I'll be sure to abuse those orphans as much as the game allows!
What about you folks? Will you be participating in Free Comic Book Day? What else will you be checking out?

Sort of. In a bit of weird marketing, Marvel has provided fans with Harold and Kumar Visit the Marvel Universe official postcards in celebration of the eponymous movie (which I won't be watching). The majority are actually pretty bad, but I laughed a little at the Xavier Institute and Asgard references.
You can check them all out below.
