Rumor Mill: Batwoman Included In DC Reboot?

According to Big Shiny Robot!, six more DC reboot covers have been revealed by someone fiddling with URLs to see what they could see. Included in their list is a cover for Batwoman #1, which they take as confirmation that the J.H. Williams III co-penned ongoing is really going to happen after all. Given the theories I've seen in which people claim the reboot is an opportunity for DC to kill this title while no one's looking, I think that would be mighty nice.
One problem: isn't that the cover we've already seen for the various earlier launch dates of Batwoman #1? It's also distinct from the others by virtue of having credits and the logo already on the page. Yes, it shares some design elements with the (really beautiful) cover for Detective Comics #1 and there's a way to read that as a hint or tribute or allusion or other signal of some sort, but I think that's drawing an exceptionally long bow. I hate to break it to BSR and their friend with the probing fingers but I don't think that image is news; I think that image is old news.
I would love nothing more than to be wrong about this and I will celebrate my error in the streets if this title gets confirmed and launched.

I don't get this whole fear that DC is trying to work out minorities.
Wasn't it in the whole mission-statement for the reboot that they were going for a more diverse universe and that they were going to tackle more currently relevant issues?
To me both those statement hint at more minorities rather than less.
And accusing DC of trying to axe Batwoman just because there hasn't been any news of it yet seems a bit like scare-mongering.
It's not like they've revealed even half of the 50ish titles that are supposed to be involved.
Maybe people should give DC the benefit of the doubt instead of flying of the handle first.
There'll be plenty of opportunities to complain once the reboot goes live.
I'm going to pass, on all of it with the exception of Batwoman. I'm sick to death of reboots. DC can't seem to go 6 months without re-casting a comic team and or changing directions (I'm looking at you Teen Titans) and its become less and less interesting to try and keep up with the whys and whatfores.
As for the minority character problem DC seems to have...well, the track record speaks for itself. If it takes a universe reboot to actually include characters in the universe that are not white old legacy characters (And Wonder Woman), what does it say about that universe altogether?
I really don't have any doubt about the Batwoman series seeing publication. DC isn't going to leave those 2 issues JHW and Reed purportedly drew to waste, if they hasn't already made a larger buffer.
Not to say your fears are unfounded, though. The 'diversity' clause in the reboot PR has been an empty claim to color the decree, unless the dozen or so titles yet to be revealed are radically unexpected. Seriously, they've introduced one black character (Batwing), and even then, he's been stripped of the useful purpose he briefly had.
I think I will try out some of it.
I was a big Robin/Nightwing fan in my teens/late teens and have mostly complete runs of the comics so I will probably jump on the Nightwing bandwagon.
Batwoman with Kate Kane (and hopefully some Renee) would be the bee's knees. It could be that since the release was pushed back so far they simply decided to include it in the relaunch.
Swamp Thing is being included too ? I thought he was soley Vertigo territory now.
As I always say though, I'll have to wait and see how things turn out and occur.
I am most definitely still in wait-and-see mode rather than in condemn-in-advance mode. I think their claims of increasing diversity are looking remarkably thin at this point but I am willing to give the stories a chance, no doubt. My point with this post was mainly that I don't think this cover of Batwoman can be taken as definitive confirmation that Batwoman is included in the DC reboot. If she is, fantastic! Like I said, I would love to find out that this cover is one of the September covers.
OK, so the cover to Batwoman #1 is included in DC's gallery of 52 #1 covers on Facebook. I was wrong! Hallelujah!
I guess this means that they decided to pull the handbrake on the book in order to include it in the September reboot and in the absence of being able to tell the true story, J.H. Williams III and others were left to say all the various things that made me think it was turning into a train wreck or being smothered by DC or something. I am not often this glad to be wrong. Now, to see if they can actually hit their publication date...
