Stocking Stuffers: American Vampire Vol 1 HC

So let's assume you've been too caught up in your studies to close out your Christmas shopping (and if you had Hanukkah shopping, well, not even I can help you there, sorry...). Or maybe you passed on your American Vampire singles to your beloved horror aficionado who never bothered to hand 'em back (Here's looking at you, Charlie!) In that case, you'd be better off picking up the American Vampire Vol 1 HC. On the off chance you never gave Klarion's adulation a try, the series is without a doubt this site's most universally lauded work For the collectors, this first arc may prove to be the most valuable for the ongoing, with Stephen King's name slapped on the cover and a strong show of Rafael Albuquerque's art for either half of the book. The power of Celebrity and consistent artistry sure can jack up the worth of what you're giving, but I'd recommend following up with issue #6, as the second arc really manages to increase the scale of the American Vampire universe and cemented AV as the only mainstay on my pull list. Don't just give a book, give your friends an American Vampire infection.
And feel free to use that amazing pun once the gift wrap comes off, too. That's my gift to you.

I love American Vampire so much that I get a little tween-fluttery when I think about it. Mmm.
Also, in re: the hovertext, me, too! I'd swear I saw it in a brown cover somewhere or another.
