DC Going Full Power Rangers On Us

brightest-day.jpg

DC has announced, when Blackest Night winds down in March, that the fairly logical followup will be Brightest Day. Complete with what looks to be a White Lantern logo and the eventual need for me to buy another little plastic ring.

Looks like it will also be a large, multi-book crossover and is described alternatively as DCU: Rebirth. Will this be another Crisis on Infinite Earths type reboot of the DC Universe? Will we find some of our deceased heroes brought back to life? Can DC keep finding ways to maintain the status quo? We'll learn in March!

I'm thinking with the similarities between the two logos and all, maybe the ressurected heroes that went black lantern in the last issue will all become white lanterns.

Somewhat interesting, but I wouldn't expect it to be a long term thing if it did happen.

Comic of the Week

Review: Avengers: The Children's Crusade #1 I literally clapped my hands together and said OhMyGodYesssss when the friendly staff member at my regular shop held this book out to hand it to me. Allan Heinberg and Jim Cheung finally - finally - return to this title with a nine issue limited series. I will spare you paragraphs of pontification and cut to the chase: it's not just good, it's the best thing Marvel has going, period. Read on for the pontification and petty quibbles!...
