Ryan Reynolds Cast As Hal Jordan
Well the big comic news today is the casting of Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan in the upcoming Green Lantern movie! I have to admit, I've got a bit of a crush on Ryan (a fact which apparently amuses my boyfriend), and I've been a huge Lantern fan for years, so this is a match made in heaven for me. A little weird with him being Deadpool and all, but at least they won't have to digitally enhance his abs to make him a superhero.
The movie is scheduled to start filming in January, and is being directed by Martin Campbell (Goldeneye, Casino Royale).

Excellent. I was kind of horrified at the thought of Justin Timberlake as Hal Jordan, as had been rumored. RR is much more schwingtastic.
Seriously! I agree completely. Justin Timberlake can pop'n'lock all he wants but he's def not going to beat out the (F)Abulous Mr. Reynolds. Was the movie dated for 2010 or 2011? Hmm?
I think Justin would make a fantastic Guy Gardner however.

I love me some Reynolds, but I see him more as a Kyle Rayner than a Hal Jordan. I always thought Nathan Fillion would be an amazing Hal. But here's hoping we get a few shirtless scenes out this at least!
