Pink Kryptonite Is Looking For Writers!

pinkkryptonite.jpg

You guys may have noticed our, *ahem*, slower scheduling of posting lately. My apologies. It's something we've been needing to resolve and I'd been unable to devote much attention to it until now. We have some fantastic writers here at PK, but some are moving on and others have to devote their time to more pressing concerns (but will be back). Over time this took it's toll and left us where we are now.

That said, Pink Kryptonite is now looking for a few new writers! If you are interested in the glamorous life of an unpaid blog writer, send me two short writing samples that show your personality and style. Good topics are reviews of recent comics or comic book issues.

Writers will need to maintain a weekly post schedule of reviews and/or regular features, with a focus on gay content. Submissions will be accepted until the end of next week, and can be submitted via e-mail.

Good luck!

Sorry to be off topic (I'd love to write, but I'm too far out of the comic loop these days), but I just heard that in the up-coming Green Lantern storyline, they're going to have power rings in different colors...including a "pink" power ring! Part of me hopes the wearer isn't gay, and part of me hopes he is...it's just a little too obvious.

That's true, there are pink rings.

They represent love, and are used by the Star Sapphire Corps. (so now there are a bunch of Star Sapphires, instead of just the one). They are not used by gay characters as a gag, but Star Sapphires are only women.

Ah...I was kinda hoping for a tough, grizzled, "Max Payne as Hot Daddy" kind of guy to be the wearer of the pink ring. As I said, I'm really out of the comics loop...though I read most of them voraciously at one time (more years ago than I like to admit). I remember when Storm first got her mohawk back in the day!

If only I had the free time, I would help in a heartbeat

Question: how can I contact you via email without having to set a "mail" account. I'm interested in contributing but not interested opening a new email account.

Thanks,
Arnie

Arnie I assume that means the link above is opening an e-mail program you don't normally use.

Just copy and paste the e-mail address it gives you into the program/webmail of your choice.

This would be such a great opportunity, too bad I'm less of a comics aficionado and more an unsavvy fan.

Are any of the other affiliated sites looking for writers? Velvet Dicebag updates less often than you guys =P

"Oh Lois, you SO don't want to know!"

Comic of the Week

Review: Avengers: The Children's Crusade #1 I literally clapped my hands together and said OhMyGodYesssss when the friendly staff member at my regular shop held this book out to hand it to me. Allan Heinberg and Jim Cheung finally - finally - return to this title with a nine issue limited series. I will spare you paragraphs of pontification and cut to the chase: it's not just good, it's the best thing Marvel has going, period. Read on for the pontification and petty quibbles!...
