Who Needs Captain Picard?
Not the X-men, apparently.
With Patrick Stewart having supposedly retired from the X-Men film franchise (wink wink), any version of a fourth film (not counting Wolverine and Magneto spin-offs) would have to write around Xavier's absence and keep him dead as seen in the pretty terrible third film.
Well, glory be in the morning, I think I've found someone to replace the perky Brit and no one would even notice!
