I know the feeling. I'm waiting for Northstar to actually...show up. Rumors point to him making his Fraction penned apperance in the next issue of Uncanny, but I've been disapointed by Northstar rumors before. Fingers crossed he steps in and is nothing short of badass. And we get to find out what he's been up to all this time...
Another thing, you'd think Northstar would be something of a minor celebrity around the Castro. Published author, activist, former olympic athelete, turned openly gay super hero? Celebrity gold.
Just to clarify Anole is still in the Young X-men book as is Greymalkin who is also gay. So there are currently 3 gay x-men characters, but still no kissing. What I wouldn't give to see a Iceman/ Human Torch love affair amirite?
Well, Northstar makes his return to the X-World this week with Uncanny X-Men #508 (even though it's drawn by the 'tracer' Greg Land). He even gets a boyfriend and is invited to join the X-Men again. He brings up that he doesn't want to be the X-Men's token gay, so at least his homosexuality is again being mentioned and not for jokes. I have hope that maybe now, especially that he's been given a boyfriend, we might see a kiss soon.
