Hero Under Consideration At Showtime - Your Help Needed!

hero-300px.jpg

We've talked before about Perry Moore's novel Hero, his novel about a gay teen superhero coming to terms with his identity and powers. Well you may also know that he is developing it for an ongoing series with the help of comics legend Stan Lee!

Our friend Jody over at DoorQ (who hung out with us at comic-con last year) nabbed an exclusive interview with Perry on the prospects for the show and an interesting tidbit revealed itself. Showtime is apparently highly interested in the show and thinking about picking up the pilot and developing it.

It's not the only show on the line, however, the decision is between several shows. So if you liked Hero and want to see it turn into a regular series, contact Showtime, because it's supposed to be decided this week!

Can we use the same contact to keep Showtime from turning this steaming pile of a 'book' into an even worse ongoing series?

"Oh Lois, you SO don't want to know!"

Comic of the Week

Review: Avengers: The Children's Crusade #1 I literally clapped my hands together and said OhMyGodYesssss when the friendly staff member at my regular shop held this book out to hand it to me. Allan Heinberg and Jim Cheung finally - finally - return to this title with a nine issue limited series. I will spare you paragraphs of pontification and cut to the chase: it's not just good, it's the best thing Marvel has going, period. Read on for the pontification and petty quibbles!...
