Well, There's A Whole Bunch Of Inaccuracies

Looks like UK paper the Telegraph has some important news of both Stan Lee and the "world's first gay superhero." Apparently, according to the Telegraph, Lee is just now creating said first gay superhero and is bringing him to television.
Which hero is this, you ask? Why, it's none other than Thom Creed, protagonist extraordinaire from perry Moore's novel Hero. Who knew that Lee, gifted as he is, could create a character that has existed for some months now. Damn he's good!
With a reporting assist from the Sun (also of the UK), they also misrepresent Creed as the world's first gay superhero. Not counting the myriad of pulp characters and wink-and-nod notions in the 40s and 50s, how about Northstar? Batwoman? Hulking? Or, I don't know, what ALL of the characters mentioned in Sgt. Sausagepants's LGBT Character of the Week columns?
Seriously though, while I am all for the mainstream media promoting the Hero television show and gay superheroes in general, could we get a little better reporting? A rather simple fact check (hell, a Google check!) would provide you with the pertinent information. For that matter, they could have gone right here!

I'd just like to point out that you have managed to pick two of the worst newspapers in existence in the UK as your sources. For future reference papers worth reading are The Times, The Independent or the Guardian.

I didn't mean to infer that all UK papers were of such dubious reporting ability. If it came across as such I apologize, the intent was to demonize those paper specifically.
As great as the NY Times is in the US, we have our fair share of drivel like the National Enquirer as well.
Oh, not at all. I thought I'd just help you out with a little guidance on which papers are the best and which ones you can ignore.
