DC Adding Gay Teenaged Legacy Heroes

manhunter37.jpg

Manhunter is certainly going out with a bang! While the series may be coming to a close, it's given us a glimpse of what the future of DC may be like. Including the fact that Kate's son, Ramsey, is apparently going to be gay! And dating another legacy hero!

Issue 37, which should be out in stores now, shows Ramsey, Kate, and crew about 15 years down the line. You can check out some scans over at Heroes 'N' Hunks. (Please note, this link is work safe but the rest of the site may not be)

I love this series and I love this issue. I don't want the next issue to come out because that means it will be the end of the series (again).

I am so excited for the direction of all the characters in this series. I was excited to learn that Manhunter will be appearing in a team book shortly, but I don't know whish one. I hope it isn't Outsiders :-(

Well, considering her ties to Obsidian, perhaps the JSA?

Thanks for posting about this. I've been really impressed with Manhunter overall, and even though I'm not thrilled with a lot of what DC puts out lately, I think Manhunter as a series is some of the best by far. Its a real shame if nothing comes of the particularly awesome cast in the near future.

Sgt. Sausagepants, when I asked Geoff Johns if Manhunter would be joining JSA just over a year ago, he said no. With Geoff leaving, here's hoping that you are correct!!

"Oh Lois, you SO don't want to know!"

Comic of the Week

Review: Stormwatch #1 Stormwatch #1, the first of DC's new 52 to feature LGBT characters (before the reboot, at least) is out to add a new cosmic dimension to the post-Flashpoint universe. There isn't much to be said for our beloved broship yet (though the last page shows a handshake between Apollo and Midnighter and promises a "Big Bang"), but the issue is a great gauge for whether or not you'll want to stick with the series to see the romance purportedly unfold....
