5 Things To Do While Waiting For Heroes

heroes-pop.jpg

I know you're hurting right now. I feel the pain too. There's just nothing good on TV any more. With Heroes gone until February, there's just not much to do in that 9/8c time slot. Luckily, I'm here to help. I've compiled a small list of things Heroes fans can do to occupy their time. Ok, I really just made it for myself, but I thought it would be nice to share. And just think, it could be a lot worse! We could have to wait over half a year for another episode. Oh, right. We did.

Read the five things you can do while waiting for the return of Heroes after the jump.

5. Read the Heroes comics. You can either browse them on the web or check out the older ones in print. They're not all spectacular, but there are some really good back stories for characters....that may or may not be dead at this point.

4. Play City of Heroes. There may be too many capes and tights running around for the casual Heroes viewer here, but that doesn't really apply to us, does it? And lets be honest, this is probably the closest thing we'll get to an actual Heroes game.

3. Read Rising Stars. J. Michael Straczynski's tale of a small group of unborn children that develop superpowers after being exposed to a mysterious flash of light may be something to interest even more casual Heroes watchers.

2. Catch up with the show. You can check out select episodes from last season on NBC's site. But if crappy Hulu streaming isn't your thing, you can always just watch the DVDs from the very start.

And what's the best thing you can do while waiting on Heroes to return?

Hey, doesn't Lost come back on this week?

"Oh Lois, you SO don't want to know!"

Comic of the Week

Review: Stormwatch #1 Stormwatch #1, the first of DC's new 52 to feature LGBT characters (before the reboot, at least) is out to add a new cosmic dimension to the post-Flashpoint universe. There isn't much to be said for our beloved broship yet (though the last page shows a handshake between Apollo and Midnighter and promises a "Big Bang"), but the issue is a great gauge for whether or not you'll want to stick with the series to see the romance purportedly unfold....
