When Stan Lee Took The Day Off

superhero3shot_1.jpg

With so many super heroes and villains bouncing around the various companies, not all of them are going to have the best powers. They can't all have the proportionate strength of a spider or the power of super everything. Sometimes the characters get the proverbial shaft on super powers.

Mental Floss drew up a list of the seven most inane super powers that we never really needed to see in print. The first two should tip you off to the level of insanity our medium goes to as Matter Eater Lad and Miss America get the spotlight with their power of eating things and "turning Nazis into doves," respectively.

Of course, I'm not sure I agree with their number three as Black Bolt's sonic ability has proven useful in the past. Troublesome though it may be, it's also saved the Inhumans on occasion.

There's also an update with seven more superpowers the world doesn't need, including the best Marvel creation ever - Squirrel Girl!

Squirrel Girl is pretty intense. She's defeated Dr.Doom, Thanos, and Deadpool.

Comic of the Week

Review: Stormwatch #1 Stormwatch #1, the first of DC's new 52 to feature LGBT characters (before the reboot, at least) is out to add a new cosmic dimension to the post-Flashpoint universe. There isn't much to be said for our beloved broship yet (though the last page shows a handshake between Apollo and Midnighter and promises a "Big Bang"), but the issue is a great gauge for whether or not you'll want to stick with the series to see the romance purportedly unfold....
