PK Reader for December

Another month escaped me. Not sure where it went or how it disappeared but as I catch up on my to do list on December 25th the top thing on it was getting our December reader to the masses. Look for the Bat Signal for the January reader very soon!

And now jump to see the very delayed crowning of this month's Reader of the Month.

Name: Gavin a.k.a g_whiz

Age: 30 (Quasi-broody scorpio)

Are you L, G, B, or T (or just friendly): Out and Proud.

Relationship Status: Single. (Know any cute non-closeted fanboys? )

Are you DC or Marvel: Marvel Zombie here.

Favorite Title, Author, and Artist: Favorite title? That's a toss up between Astonishing X-Men, Y:the Last Man and Runaways. Favorite author: Brian K. Vaughan. Favorite Artist- Adrian Alphona. If only real people were as cool as the ones he drew.

Comic book character you would most want to date: Either Midnighter or Northstar.

Hottest Comic book character: Is it bad that I've always had a thing for Cannonball? Jericho (of the Teen Titans) was one of my first crushes. Too bad he's technically "evil" now.

Superpower you would most want to have: I've always been of the mind (pardon the pun) that telepathy would be torturous. Let's go with teleportation.

Titles you currently read: Much less than I used to, but hey, recessions. Secret Invasion, Buffy TVS: Season 8, Runaways, Astonishing , Uncanny and Young X-Men. Birds of Prey. Teen Titans. New Avengers.Possibly the Dark Reign stuff.

If you were trapped in another reality which five books would you hope to have with you? Books I'd love to have on hand in Limbo are 1.) Ralph Ellison-Invisible Man 2.) Yukio Mishima- Confessions of a Mask 3.) Andre Aciman-Call Me By Your Name 4.) Runaways Season 2 5.) The complete run of Y: the Last Man.

Other stuff about you:
I finished my masters degree work in Sociology a few months back, love video games, politics, pub debate, and collect ties and hats by accident.

"Oh Lois, you SO don't want to know!"

Comic of the Week

Review: Stormwatch #1 Stormwatch #1, the first of DC's new 52 to feature LGBT characters (before the reboot, at least) is out to add a new cosmic dimension to the post-Flashpoint universe. There isn't much to be said for our beloved broship yet (though the last page shows a handshake between Apollo and Midnighter and promises a "Big Bang"), but the issue is a great gauge for whether or not you'll want to stick with the series to see the romance purportedly unfold....
