Thor Gets Helmed

It would appear that a British stage theater website of all places has broken the news that Kenneth Branagh has officially signed on to direct Thor, the theatrical adaptation of Marvel's thunder god.
In between discussing the departure of the director and what will happen to his planned production of Hamlet with Jude Law, the website says the following:
Branagh, who continues in his role as Donmar West End artistic associate, has had to withdraw because of commitments to the forthcoming feature film Thor, a project he's recently undertaken.
I'm excited about this. I've enjoyed all of Branagh's Shakespeare adaptations and he's shown some pretty able directing chops in the process. The final shot in Much Ado About Nothing is downright impressive, really. Consider me now awaiting sitting in a theater watching Thor kick some Asgardian ass.

Wow this is exciting. I don't follow Thor all that much, but I did like Branagh's movies.
