Running Out Of Manga To Read? Need Something New?
Well, lucky for you the Nijomu Blog has your answer! In the latest entry, they discuss the lack of mature manga titles in the US and offer up an alternative: scanlations. For those who don't know, scanlations are manga that are scanned, then translated for English-speaking audiences by fans of the series. Now, once a lot of series get licensed, most scanlators stop (as they should) since they can just go out and buy the books. It's a great fan-service, because there are some really neat gems that go completely unpublished in the US. Check out the newest Nijomu post for a good list of scanlations you should check out.
