Il Palazzo's Weekly Heroes Rant!

claire-and-elle.jpg

Welcome to Il Palazzo's Weekly Heroes Rant! Each week, I hope to inspire you to get off your couch (after watching Heroes), and jump into your computer chair (so you can read about Heroes). Beware though, I'll be recapping each episode as it airs, so spoilers will abound. Look forward to my often-wrong theories, erratic comments, and comparisons to the comics the show steals material from is inspired by. Hit the jump for my rant on this week's episode!

Peter got over his dad being back from the dead quick. And..."You're grounded?" Really?

Yay! Now Elle and Claire can become super best friends! ....or not.

Now Arthur Patrelli can kill people just by being in the same room. Great. Thanks Maya.

Yeah, I REALLY believe Sylar is Mama Petrelli's kid. Scary bitch is scary.

Oooooh. Maury went out like a bitch. ....That's been happening a lot lately. I think that might be Arthur's real power. The ability to snuff out characters with plot holes.

So Sylar really is Arthur's son? I really figured Mama Petrelli just slept around.

HA! Nathan's "old flame" shows up while he's with his new "ice queen." I'll stop the bad puns now.

Elle's electrical powers are out of control and their first idea is to get on a plane? That's using your head, Claire.

Well, I guess we finally know why Sylar was put up for adoption or whatever. I don't know why I didn't think about it before. It seems way too obvious now.

Yay! They finally wrote Maya out of the show! ...I think.

Why didn't Sylar kill Peter? Think he's still Mama's little boy?

Wow. "So, you two had an illegitimate daughter, and he's the adoptive father." Poor Tracy. Just when she thought having ice powers was confusing.

Say it ain't so, Daphne! You and Matt have to get married and have white picket fences with 3.5 kids! And then all go on awesome adventures together!

Now Hiro's astral journey begins! Yay! I still find it weird that characters without that actual power can see the future though.

Never doubt the powers of crazy drugs made from coyote dung that African painters can make! They can make you see the future, lose your pupils, get hungry for strange things and wake up in your friend's house with drawings that would make even the writers of this show confused.

If there is a drug that can give you powers, then there could be an enzyme in roots and dung that gives you visions. What this tells me is that there might be a way to choose what powers the “Give you Powers” drug gives you.

It seems that all the Patrelli Men who have natural powers (assuming Arthur got his powers naturally; which according to the comic he didn’t.) have the ability to gain powers from other people.

So far we have only seen Arthur take the powers of people we think got there powers naturally. We don’t know if he can take powers from people who got their powers from a drug.

"Oh Lois, you SO don't want to know!"

Comic of the Week

Review: Stormwatch #1 Stormwatch #1, the first of DC's new 52 to feature LGBT characters (before the reboot, at least) is out to add a new cosmic dimension to the post-Flashpoint universe. There isn't much to be said for our beloved broship yet (though the last page shows a handshake between Apollo and Midnighter and promises a "Big Bang"), but the issue is a great gauge for whether or not you'll want to stick with the series to see the romance purportedly unfold....
