Il Palazzo's Weekly Heroes Rant!

peterps2.jpgWelcome to Il Palazzo's Weekly Heroes Rant! Each week, I hope to inspire you to get off your couch (after watching Heroes), and jump into your computer chair (so you can read about Heroes). Beware though, I'll be recapping each episode as it airs, so spoilers will abound. Look forward to my often-wrong theories, erratic comments, and comparisons to the comics the show steals material from is inspired by. Hit the jump for my rant on this weeks episode!

Well, they got the "Hiro-really-didn't-kill-Ando" thing out of the way, didn't they? I honestly expected Daphne to be in on it, though.

Do they have to use that "One of them, one of us" line each episode?

Did anyone else notice Claire's mom was out of sync with the puppet master guy? Also, his power seemed a bit...abstract? It seemed his power worked by mimicry, then he moved his hand to move a mouth. My best guess? All the hand gestures were just for show.

Geez....Adam went out like a bitch. So, I guess this means Sylar/Claire CAN die...

I hope Matt DOES save Daphne. The poor bastard needs some kind of stability at this point. But this IS Heroes...so she'll probably die.

"African Isaac." Oh, how I love Hiro.

I have to confess this. I like Daphne. I think she's going places (pun intended). Unless they kill her.

I thought for sure that Peter would team up with his dad until we find out...ARTHUR IS ROGUE?!?

Which means, the main villain is now uber-powered.....and may have Sylar's hunger. Fascinating......

Certainly Claire and Sylar can die, Claire did that in season one... until they took the stick out of her spine. Too, they showed that in the premonition from ma this season when someone went all samurai on her.

She can heal something serious, but she's not immortal. If there's serious trauma, she's a goner quicker then ando.

I'm not sure what the deal is. They seem to go back and forth between thinking those characters are immortal or not. Although, there's STILL the question of how they knew they could kill Adam by removing his head. It still doesn't explain how Future Peter was able to be killed by gun shots though...

ANOTHER same-power thing?!?!?! C'MON!! But totally agree; (sexy) Adam went out like a real bitch. Still lovin' the show. Sylar is sooooo charming tho, am I right?

Future Peter was able to die by bullets because the Haitian was nearby hence his healing power was stopped.

I am freaking loving Daphne, ut Mohinder is creeping me out a lil!

I think the whole thing with Adam is that his power was his immortality. When poppa Petrelli took that away, he quickly turned to ash like he should have long ago.

I think it is interesting that they have started to show this genetic trait of some of the abilities. Like the Petrelli men and their power-stealing ability (although in different ways each) or the Parkmans and their mind-f*ck abilities.

"Oh Lois, you SO don't want to know!"

Comic of the Week

Review: Avengers: The Children's Crusade #1 I literally clapped my hands together and said OhMyGodYesssss when the friendly staff member at my regular shop held this book out to hand it to me. Allan Heinberg and Jim Cheung finally - finally - return to this title with a nine issue limited series. I will spare you paragraphs of pontification and cut to the chase: it's not just good, it's the best thing Marvel has going, period. Read on for the pontification and petty quibbles!...
