CBR News: Andreyko Confirms Manhunter Cancellation
In a follow-up to an article I wrote about Manhunter that you can read by clicking HERE, it is my sad duty to relay the following information. CBR News has announced that DC title Manhunter is being canceled once again. This is not the first time that the title has been canceled, and I sincerely hope that this is not a final cancellation.
"Manhunter" follows the heroic adventures of Kate Spencer, a lawyer turned superhero who repurposes the weaponry and armaments of captured or fallen villains to bring her own brand of justice to the DCU. The series has been called a superhero "Law & Order," with real-life events, issues and themes heavily informing the book's content.

Manhunter and Spider-Girl canceled in the same week. So sad. :(
I want to jump all over DC but then it's a business and if the book isn't selling who can blame them. Who I can blame are comic book fans. Manhunter is one of the few books these days with everything going for it - and not just in the DCU. It's always a sad day when the good ones sink. Fans should try and rally around it.
I was really hoping Manhunter would make it this time. I've been buying the new series and enjoying it.
How can we make it come back a third time? Manhunter needs to become a star in BoP so we can get #39 to come out in a year or so.
Sadly, there are really only two ways this can be turned around. First, sales need to double or even triple the numbers for the remaining issues. Secondly, retailers need to get behind this comic and write letters to DC urging them to not cancel the comic.
I can't really see either of these things happening. Comic buyers aren't buying this book because it isn't a Superman or Batman book, and retailers can't be bothered to support a book that isn't a number one selling title.
