Serialization Sunday: Shonen Jump

Hello again, lads and lassies! Il Palazzo here to break down the October issue of Shonen Jump for you! This time around, we get a sneak peek at the new manga Nora, along with the normal levels of awesomeness presented by Bleach, YuYu Hakusho, and Yu-Gi-Oh GX (Har har.).
Here are the top three reasons to be reading Shonen Jump this week:
Nora: The Last Chronicle of Devildom
One Piece
Bleach
Full reviews after the jump!
Nora: The Last Chronicle of Devildom
I'll probably be picking up this book when it comes out. The plot is a bit generic (a demon-in-training is forced to team up with a normal high school student), but the character interaction is pretty awesome and quite funny. Think of any good buddy comedy, and add supernatural action and Nora is what you get.
MUST HAVE
Naruto
Naruto continues to pick up as we learn a little more about their newest team member, Sai (no, not the ghost from Hikaru no Go). Like every other character in this series, it seems he has a secret troubled past. I have a feeling that he won't last very long. I'm not sure why (maybe it's because he's drawn like a background character?), and I'm probably wrong anyway. He's just one of those late-coming characters that you don't really care about. Even though most of this issue is about him, I still recommend it if you wanna get ready for what happens next time....
Read it.
One Piece
The first chapter starts off with some really good wacky moments, but things quickly get serious as the crew starts making their way to Crocodile. The crew finally reunites, only to immediately get broken up again. It works though, because the build up here really kept me engaged.
MUST HAVE
Bobobo-Bo Bo-Bobo
After finally toppling Lord Giga, the team gets reunited then gets ready for the next fight. However, since this is Bobobo, all that requires a lot of gags and word-play. But if you're into this manga, it's expected (or daresay DEMANDED) at this point. There's even a Titanic reference.
Read it.
Bleach
Ichigo comes face to face with his inner hollow at last. Unbeknown to him, however his body in the real world goes bezerk, causing the visoreds to contain it one-on-one in cycles. It's really a badass issue that shows you what some the new characters (and even "evil" Ichigo) are really capable of.
MUST HAVE
YuYu Hakusho
In this issue, a major character dies. Granted, it's YuYu Hakusho, so that may not seem like that big of a deal. Things kind of go to hell pretty quick, and things look really dire. All in all, it's just a good jumping point to the NEXT volume.
Read it.
Yu-Gi-Oh! GX
Wait...this book has a plot? Who knew? Apparently, something from the original Yu-Gi-Oh series is back (or something that was retconned into existence for this book) to capture Jaden's spirit card for...something. I'm sure we'll find out soon enough. After the plot kicks off, we're immediately thrown back into another children's card game. Oh, boy.
Skip it.
Shonen Jump Extras
As with every issue, we get insight into some upcoming Shonen Jump videogames. I honestly have no interest in most of them (the only one I ever really dug was Bleach DS), so I just gloss over these at best. In card game news, they're still making Dragon Ball cards....and apparently there's a Blue Dragon card game coming out. More proof that they'll market ANYTHING to death given the chance.
Skip it.
