Moment Of The Week #9

Well last week Ultimate X-Men's Northstar won for being... well, for being, and took home the blue ribbon!
This week, we're checking out Detective Comics, Invincible Iron Man, Secret Six, and Manifest Destiny.
So join me after the jump, and be warned. Spoilers lie beyond. So if you still have to pick up any of these books, don't read ahead because it'll ruin the surprise!
X-Men: Manifest Destiny #1
So Tabitha Smith, also known as Boom-Boom, Time Bomb, etc... goes shopping and wouldn't you know it, gets beated by a nearly-no-name super-thug. After ranting about it to Beast, he prods her to research the villain some and via the magical powers of the internet, discovers how she got beat.
Yeah, putting people to sleep. It's a lame as it sounds. She gets blasted by Tabitha shortly thereafter.
Invincible Iron Man #5
Tony is fighting the son of Obadiah Stane, who is trying to ruin him and cause terror and generally be a very bad man. He's not going easy on Tony, they get to fighting and... well..
Wait. Did Tony just get his head blown off?
Detective Comics # 848
Batman spends most of this book fighting Scarecrow to save a poor kid, but it turns out it's all a distraction set up by Hush so he can do this...
First her book canceled, now this? Selina's not having a good year.
Secret Six #1
I've talked about Knockout on this site before. She's not in this book, (for the most part), because she got killed during Countdown. Her girlfriend Scandal, however, is still alive. And drunk. In an effort to get her out of her funk, (and vomit), the rest of the team hires her a prostitute and dresses her up like Knockout.
Hey, they're villains. They think this helps.
Side note: This comic has some sort of flesh-eating supervillain who runs the mob from a crate in the basement of a gay bar called the Bear Trap. I was amused. Now, back to Scandal and the hooker.
Anyway, Scandal is pretty wasted but this touching scene ensued.
The next page she turns the hooker down. Cause it's not Kay.
I think I'm going to cry.
Now Vote!

I loved the Secret Six last week, and the it was really a touching scene. Gail Simone seems to do team books better than she does solo. (Except for the Deadpool she did, which was frakking hilarious).
selina's heart being removed did a number on me, but i refuse to honor is with a moment of the week because it's more "no one gets out of here alive" dcu detritus.
@StSean:
Then maybe you should stop 'Living' in the comicbook world I.E your basement.
