Manga-Nation: "There's A Manga Based On High School Musical?!?" Edition

No, your eyes do not deceive you. There is actually a manga coming out based on High School Musical. It's not even a cinemanga. Someone took the time to draw it. I won't even go into how unnecessary this is. Instead, I'll just talk about all the awesome other manga coming out this week.

Negima's next volume hits, which has me a little more excited then I should probably admit. And Viz continues to roll out the re-releases with hardcover editions of Naruto and Yu-Gi-Oh. They've also got a giant Bleach boxed set coming out (You may remember the Naruto one from a while back).

The Get Backers start a new series that fleshes out their backstory a little with Get Backers Infinity Fortress. Other new debuts include Tokyopop's Burst Angel and Broccoli International's Nui.

Comic of the Week

Stormwatch #1, the first of DC's new 52 to feature LGBT characters (before the reboot, at least) is out to add a new cosmic dimension to the post-Flashpoint universe. There isn't much to be said for our beloved broship yet (though the last page shows a handshake between Apollo and Midnighter and promises a "Big Bang"), but the issue is a great gauge for whether or not you'll want to stick with the series to see the romance purportedly unfold....
