Aaron Eckhart Talks Two-Face (Dark Knight Spoilers)

twoface.jpg

This entire post is a pretty big spoiler, so if you're one of the four adult comic geeks that hasn't seen The Dark Knight yet, just skip over this. Like, right now, since the spoilers start now.

I warned you...

Most have wondered if Two-Face will return after his apparent death at the end of the Dark Knight, some think he's dead dead, others think it was just a ruse to keep Gotham from falling to an even darker place. In a recent interview with Super Hero Hype, Aaron Eckhart has his answer...

(After the jump. Muahaha!)

No. He is dead as a door nail. ...He ain't coming back baby! ...I asked Chris [Nolan] that question and he goes, "You're dead" before I could even get the question out of my mouth. "Hey Chris, am I?" "You're dead!" Alright, cool.

Obviously, things can change quite a bit and Two Face can still make a return in the next movie. Honestly, after all the buildup they gave him in Dark Knight, it makes sense for him to return in the third movie; redeeming Batman and in the process and diminishing what little hope Gotham has for its future. It makes perfect sense for the character and I think, gives him a greater impact for both movies. Harvey Dent is the fallen angel, but if only a few people know about it, the repercussions of his descent are never truly felt.

If you're interested in some creator's opinions (including Kevin Smith's), check out a brief article on it at MTV.com.

Bruce Wayne and Dent should have just consoled each other and everyone would have been happy. well, I would have been :P

Come on now, do you really think they would reveal if he was going to return? Ofcourse everyone will be saying "No he isn't returning, he is dead"

The return of Dent will probably be mid point in the movie and be very plot relevent that he is there, so telling people he is returning would spoil it.

I wish the Joker would be in the next one, but that's impossible now. With the death of Heath, I think that it is more possible that Two-Face will come back now. Kinda spread the Joker's gospel so to speak.

"Oh Lois, you SO don't want to know!"

Comic of the Week

Review: Stormwatch #1 Stormwatch #1, the first of DC's new 52 to feature LGBT characters (before the reboot, at least) is out to add a new cosmic dimension to the post-Flashpoint universe. There isn't much to be said for our beloved broship yet (though the last page shows a handshake between Apollo and Midnighter and promises a "Big Bang"), but the issue is a great gauge for whether or not you'll want to stick with the series to see the romance purportedly unfold....
