Gays and Dolls

Ah, Wednesdays. New Comic Book Day. That little day in the middle of the week that helps us get through the rest of it. Wednesdays also have new toys, and everyone loves toys. Except some, but I'm not talking to those people right now. They don't like toys.
This week we have the second wave of Final Fantasy VII figures, based on the likeness in the game; but with detail rather than blurry faces. This wave has Vincent Valentine, Red XIII & Cait Sith, Yuffie Kisaragi and Sephiroth. I can't actually find just a product page for it, but click here and you'll get a Google search result.
The re-release of the classic Star Trek Mego line continues with Scotty and The Keeper. As before, they're in very similar packaging to the original line and the figures themselves are exactly as the old ones, but, 'yknow...new. Like FFVII figures, I can't seem to find a link to just a product page, so here's another search result. You can find a link without me inadvertently advertising for someone.
More after the jump!
Marvel has some super deformed plushes that come out tomorrow as well. I can't tell if all of them are released tomorrow or just the four my store got. So, since I know the five we have come out tomorrow, I'll just stick with listing those: Spider-Man, Venom, Captain America, Hulk and Thor. You can see these and the rest of the Marvel line (as well as the Star Wars line) here at Comic Images.
Marvel's second wave of "Crossover" figures has been announced, which include: Black Costume Spider-Man, Gray Hulk, Human Torch and Wolverine. How the Marvel heroes were transformed into...well, Transformers it doesn't say. Honestly, I don't wanna know. You can read more about them and see some images here.
That's all for this week. If I missed any or there are some in the future you want me to talk about, send me an email.

I purchased the Red Xiii figure at a whopping 30 dollars! Yikes! A little pricey but over all its an amazing figure with tons of articulation and the kind of paint job you don't normally see on action figures. My favorite detail about it however is how the tail goes from painted to translucent yellow plastic at the end. I wish Marvel would put this much quality into their figures.
