DC Brings In Archie And Milestone Comics Heroes

Here's a little tidbit that got revealed at comic-con that completely slipped my mind until now. DC Comics announced that they have purchased the rights to the old Archie heroes (seriously) and the heroes from Milestone Comics. Which means pretty soon we're going to see Static Shock joining the Titans. (This was mentioned specifically at the panel)
This also means that Static Shock character Rick Stone (a former LGBT Character of the Week) is now part of the DCU, or will be shortly anyway. I'm rather interested to see how DC handles this one. Most of the fans of the animated Static Shock will know this character by his modified handle of Rich Foley, or Gear. It remains to be seen whether they update the character to become Gear in the DCU as well, but if they do that would mean another gay hero for DC.

Milestone and DC have had a crossover before where the heroes were able to enter each other's worlds. It was all due to the power of one man. This could come to pass with the infinity thingy if that is still going on.
