Superheros Spotted In Metropolis Museum

ACTN001.JPG
GayGamers descended on the Metropolitan Museum of Art Wednesday evening for a Gay and Lesbian membership drive that featured the current exhibit, Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy. The exhibit, although short, was a thrill for comic book fans. It featured superhero costumes from a number of Hollywood films and haute couture from various well known designers inspired by the superhero theme. The end of the exhibit featured rare art treasures including original copies of Action Comic #1, Detective Comics #33, Sensation Comics #1, & X-Men #1 among others. The event featured an open bar which turned a Greek and Roman statue gallery into a vibrant gay bar. Although I was unable to snap pictures of everything, you can get a feel for the event below.

"Oh Lois, you SO don't want to know!"

Comic of the Week

Review: Avengers: The Children's Crusade #1 I literally clapped my hands together and said OhMyGodYesssss when the friendly staff member at my regular shop held this book out to hand it to me. Allan Heinberg and Jim Cheung finally - finally - return to this title with a nine issue limited series. I will spare you paragraphs of pontification and cut to the chase: it's not just good, it's the best thing Marvel has going, period. Read on for the pontification and petty quibbles!...
