Gays and Dolls

adultswimtoys.jpg

Ah, Wednesdays. New Comic Book Day. That little day in the middle of the week that helps us get through the rest of it. Wednesdays also have new toys, and everyone loves toys.

Except some, but I'm not talking to those people right now. They don't like toys.

I thought last week was slow for toys. This week is even slower.

More after the jump. Thought not a lot...it's kind of depressing.

Kidrobot put out their Adult Swim line tomorrow, which includes little soft vynil toys of characters from Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law, Frisky Dingo, The Venture Bros., Metalocalypse, Robot Chicken, Squidbillies, Moral Orel and Assy McGee. What's kind of irritating is they're blind boxed...which means exactly what it sounds like. You don't know what you're getting. Which to me, is never much of an incentive, especially at almost $8 a pop.

Sideshow collectibles has listed a Predator on Horse statue due out in early 2009.

That's it for this week. If I missed any or there are some in the future you want me to talk about, send me an email.

Those Kidrobot vs. Adult Swim toys have been out for a while--I got a couple at my comic shop over a month ago. They might just be shipping out more...

I got the Monarch and Carl, who I traded in for a Robot Chicken, because I really hate Carl...

Ok. Usually my store gets everything as it comes out. "Usually" being the key word. :P

This week we take a look at some astounding moments from last weeks Spider-Man: Secret Invasion, Wolverine, New Avengers, Final Crisis: Rogue's Revenge, Ultimate X-Men and Thunderbolts. (Marvel heavy, last week) So join me after the jump, and be warned. Spoilers lie beyond. So if you still have to pick up any of these books, don't read ahead because it'll ruin the surprise!...
