Even Movies Have Variant Covers These Days

Jump back a month and a half ago and I showed you some photos from the new Punisher film hitting theaters on December 5th. Punisher: War Zone is another "non-sequel" from Marvel Studios, much like the recently released Incredible Hulk. While not contradicting the 2004 Thomas Jane iteration, it won't be mentioning it either.

In the ongoing road of publicity, Lionsgate has released some random one-sheets for the film. Normally I would think four relatively nondescript posters would be overkill, but given that they closely resemble the Tim Bradstreet covers to the Punisher MAX book I'm going to give them a pass.

Check out the gallery below and let us know what you're thinking about the movie.

Woah it does look like those covers.

I'll probably see it when it comes out. I'm not expecting oscar worthy... anything from it or anything.

Comic of the Week

Review: Avengers: The Children's Crusade #1 I literally clapped my hands together and said OhMyGodYesssss when the friendly staff member at my regular shop held this book out to hand it to me. Allan Heinberg and Jim Cheung finally - finally - return to this title with a nine issue limited series. I will spare you paragraphs of pontification and cut to the chase: it's not just good, it's the best thing Marvel has going, period. Read on for the pontification and petty quibbles!...
