The Incredible Hulk Gets Blue Green Balls: No Captain America Cameo After All!

Well that's a shame: I was really looking forward to director Louis Leterrier's promised Captain America cameo in the new Incredible Hulk movie. Our own Oraclechele just saw the movie (she loved it) and confirmed that he is, in fact, M.I.A..
Over at French blog SOS Hollywood, they got another confirmation from the director himself (MINOR SPOILERS AHEAD):
"There's a point when Bruce Banner gives up on his quest for the cure and decide to kill himself. So he travels far North and reaches the Arctic Circle. You might have seen bits of it in some of the promos. The result was a very dark and strong scene, which Marvel, me and everyone else's considered to be too hard to young audiences to take, so we've cut it. Having that said, when Bruce arrives at his destination he meets up with Captain America! At some point this week, we will make it available on the internet - but I cannot tell you where or when - and the material will definitely be on the DVD."
That makes me a really, really sad panda :-(. Oh well. The film is currently getting mixed reviews (leaning towards the positive) and is sitting on a 68 Rottentomatoes rating and a 61 rating on Metacritic.
If you go watch the movie this weekend, let us know what you think!
EXCLUSIVE! CAPTAIN AMERICA ON HULK - The real deal! [SOS Hollywood]

To be totally honest, I liked the way it was dealt with in Hulk. They mentioned the Super Soldier program a few times, saying it was the impetus for the program that created Hulk, which is a tie-in I'm down for. I think physically putting Cap in this movie would have been rushing it more than a little.
