Newsarama Goes All IGN On Us, Debuts New Format

Recently we noticed a dramatic change to one of our favorite comic books news sources, Newsarama. It seems that they have updated to a new, slick interface and have also expanded their coverage to include a heavier focus on movies, TVs, and video games (remarkably similar to IGN). This irks me a little bit, as it seems to me that they've sort of thrown the white flag up and given up on a pure comic book news site. Granted PK started off as part of Gaygamer's expansion into comic book coverage, but we remain a separate entity. Is Newsarama's makeover a sign of things to come? Will pure comic news sites go the way of the dodo as monthly comic book readership declines? Or am I just being a old biddy and learn to accept our new overlords?

I worry because Newsarama was already becoming too much like Wizard. At this point, they may as well just buy Wizard's for sale building in Congers, NY. They make get exclusives for being the biggest name in the blogosphere, but adding too many topics dilutes the focus.
At first I was concerned because it's such a change, but now that I think about it, there did seem to be a lack of comic related material today. I hope that doesn't mean they're paring back on their comic reporting.
