Marvel Video Game News By The Web Full

Comics and video games have gone hand-in-hand since the conception of the gaming industry. Everything from Captain American the Avengers to The Darkness have had their own games to varying degrees of success and playability.
So who are we to stop playing them now? No one. We are no one. So sit back and soak up this tidal wave of comic book inspired video games. These are all courtesy of forum user MMaRsu on the NeoGAF forums. Given that, these are all rumors and are subject to change at any point.
Hit the jump to get all the juicy details on Ultimate Alliance 2, a Spider-Man Balance Board game for the Wii, some hints on a Marvel Zombies game and a cover gallery for Spider-Man: Web of Shadows.

First up on the list is some information on Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2. Following the original success of X-Men Legends and its apocalyptic sequel, the first M:UA game was a massive trip though Marvel and its varied worlds. The sequel is supposed to follow the Civil War storyline. This one is a rumor I've heard before, so it may be a little more true than the others. We do know that the game is coming, we've just not heard confirmation of the premise yet. If the NeoGAF boards are to be believed, we'll actually be able to combine powers to create "web lightening" (Spider-Man + Storm) or some such nonsense.
Next on the chopping block is a new game exclusively for the Wii. It will focus on Spider-Man and require you to jump, lean, stomp and run to help Spider-Man in his superhero duties. This one definitely makes sense as Nintendo has stated that developers have been scrambling to make product for the Balance Board that came packaged with Wii Fit. I'm thinking this one will be aimed at a younger age group, but it should be interesting nonetheless.
In a move no one is surprised by, the next game up for discussion is a Marvel Zombies game. Tentatively titled Spider-Man vs. the Marvel Zombies, the player would control the Webhead as he battles the undead legions of Hawkeyes and Wasps in a living Hell on Earth. I'm surprised this hasn't been announced earlier.
Finally, check out the gallery below for a bunch of concept artwork for the Spider-Man: Web of Shadows game coming later this year. I personally like numbers three and one the best, though four is kind of catchy as well. Which is your favorite?

"..battles the undead legions of Hawkeyes and Wasps in a living Hell on Earth."
Oh lawd what are they thinking.
Still no Marvel Apes game announced tho. :P
