Dawn Shows Some Skin

BUFFY2-18-FC-FNL SM.JPG

Dark Horse has released the cover to Buffy #15. There's certainly a fair amount to be said about the cover, but I think I'll leave to you all. I would go hoarse trying to bring up all the talking points.

Hit the jump for the non-truncated version of the cover.

Buffy #15 will be out in August.

cue cries of "jumped the shark! jumped the shark!" or...actually we'll probably hear "Joss Whedon is God! This idea is awesome!"

What do I think? I think it's kind of dumb. But then again, Dawn wasn't always my favorite character.

For me the cover doesn't equal the content inside. I will say that this is a little sexy for a character that is supposed to be around 17.

I had assumed that Fray was going to be a longer arc so I am a tad confused how this ties into that.

Guess we will see. Suppose it might be the first cover that I get of Buffy that isn't the 'art' cover because ummm - a little too fanboy appealing to me.

Guess we will see...

it's a pretty, tonal cover. and her tail is so flowy!

until her recent psycho-Tokyo-stomp, dawn's been guest-starring in the background for a while. about time she gets a good story.
why not as a centaur(ess?)?
let's see where this goes.

I smell another foreshadowing dream sequence. Of course, I have no idea what the hell a centaur Dawn is supposed to symbolize.

Comic of the Week

Review: Stormwatch #1 Stormwatch #1, the first of DC's new 52 to feature LGBT characters (before the reboot, at least) is out to add a new cosmic dimension to the post-Flashpoint universe. There isn't much to be said for our beloved broship yet (though the last page shows a handshake between Apollo and Midnighter and promises a "Big Bang"), but the issue is a great gauge for whether or not you'll want to stick with the series to see the romance purportedly unfold....
