Breaking News: Michael Turner Passes Away
According to a letter from Vince Hernandez of Aspen Comics, comics superstar Michael Turner has died. Diagnosed with a particularly difficult form of bone cancer, Turner had publicly battled the disease for years in a seesaw contest with it. His positive attitude always reassured people that he would beat he cancer and come out strong on the other end.

Hello all,Unfortunately it's with great sadness that I must inform everyone that Michael Turner tragically passed away last night, June 27th at approximately 10:42 pm in Santa Monica, Ca. Turner had been dealing with recent health complications arisen in the past few weeks. More details concerning Turner's passing, and services, will be given shortly.

Turner made his mark on the industry while working on Witchblade before leaving Top Cow to form Aspen Comics. Turner still worked for the Big Two doing covers and reintroducing Supergirl a few years ago. His work will will be seen on one of next month's variant covers for Uncanny X-Men #500.
Turner was only 37.

Oh my.
Michael Turner was truly a great person.. I've only met him once at the San Diego Comic-con, but he left me with a lasting impression of an upstanding man with courage and positive thinking. He will be sorely missed by the comic industry
Rest in peace, Turner.
this is my first time back on the internet since my weekend trip and I am deeply saddened by this news. RIP.
