AP Reporter Gets Around To Checking Out Latest Captain Britain Relaunch, Gordon Brown Sensationalized

A month after publication, Marvel's Captain Britain and MI13 is finally getting noticed by the Associated Press for its "heroic" depiction of current British Prime Minister, Gordon Brown. In an article that could only be written when deadline is looming and the closest thing to an actual story to be found involves Celine Dion and cucumber-flavored popsicles, AP reporter Gregory Katz manages to squeeze out 400+ words on Gordon Brown's three-panel appearance. He manages to point out that Brown's appearance in the comic is heroic, which is diametrically opposed to his current less-than-popular status across the pond. It seems Captain Britain's current writer, Paul Cornell, is a fan of the PM, hence the cameo.
My favorite part of the article has to be this:
The comic book went on sale in the U.S. last month but it was not immediately clear Tuesday whether it was on the shelves in Britain.
Not immediately clear? Well, you can call up any comic shop (I recommend Gosh! Comics, across from the British Museum) or go check one out, I suppose. You know, verify your story?
Now, things may have changed since I lived in London (true fact!), but I remember being able to purchase all of my weekly books on Thursday, rather than Wednesday so the book should have only been delayed a day.
