Newsarama Buffy #15 Preview

BUFFY2-15-FC-FNL.gif

The folks over at Newsarama have a great sneak peek of the latest issue of Buffy that hits shelves on June 4th.

Spoiler warning for those of you who have yet to read #14.

For those not worried about spoilers then jump.

A free fall witch battle that you could never see on the tv series.

Is it me or has Dracula been very attentive towards Xander?

How do these covers keep getting better?

I really like Jon Foster's covers. They're kind of reminiscent of James Jean's Fables covers (in a good way).

I'm definitely excited about the upcoming Willow vs. Crazy Goth Vampire Witch battle. Will it force Willow to go dark and possibly evil again? Will the Goth's spell partially work and take out a large part of the Slayer army?

Despite that though, I'm even more interested in how the end of #14 is going to affect Xander. I still hold to the theory that he was the "betrayal" predicted in the stand-alone before this arc, and that his sweetie's death is what's going to push him over the edge. Either that or a hot affair with Dracula.

Agreed.

I think Xander has had a rough go of it. With Buffy heading to "Fray world" might Xander's anger build to Xander being the problem once Buffy gets back?

I am not one to think Whedon would re-visit an Evil story with another of the Scoobies but I can't imagine he's going to be his normally stable influence after this recent repeated loss (a Girl he had feelings for dying in the fight - AGAIN!)

"Oh Lois, you SO don't want to know!"

Comic of the Week

Review: Wonder Woman #1 - #5 OK, so a couple of unkind reviews from me of late. Does that mean I hate the whole New 52? No, not at all. Does it mean that I only enjoy the new characters? Definitely not. Case in point: Wonder Woman is one of my favorite books of the relaunch. I think it's very good, with strong writing, an excellent ambience and fantastic art. Read on for why this reboot is the first time I've ever subscribed to Wonder Woman!...
