Bad Art Meets Bad Music

We all know that there are bills to be paid and sometimes those DC and Marvel checks just don't cut it. It's not unusual for artists to take gigs outside of the funnypages for a little extra income (or even variety of work).
One of the more lucrative avenues for this is album art. I'm not sure if you remember or not, but music used to actually come on a physical disc. You'd go to a store that you couldn't access though your browser and pay for an actual piece of equipment. There were many varied forms of this too, everything from Compact Discs to cassette tapes to vinyl. I've even heard rumblings of this long-forgotten medium called an "8-track." God only know what the hell that is.
Yes, in these bygone days many comic book artists would lend their talents to the music industry and whip up some fancy artwork. Others, would simply cash in for a quick buck and just throw whatever they had time to do up there. These are the ones we're interested in today!
L.A. Weekly's Topless Robot otherwise known as their dork blog) is currently running the 10 worst album covers by comic artists. It's a neat list including such legit talent as Peter Bagge and Dave Gibbons. Of course McFarlane is there too, so some of them are not shockers.
(And before I get streams of hate mail in my inbox, not all of the music on the list is terrible. I've been known to get down to a Tull tune or two in my day. Of course, this disclaimer does not apply to the band known as Swollen Members.)
