WW LA News: Ultimatum Revealed

Down in Wizard World Los Angeles, Jeph Loeb not only revealed the new Captain America title, but he also dropped a major teaser image for the upcoming Ultimatum book. Set to follow right after Brian Michael Bendis' Ultimate Origins story arc, Loeb promises that the book, written by himself and David Finch, will change the Ultimate Universe forever, and that nothing will be the same.

Loeb then discussed his upcoming Ultimatum, and how it will follow from Ultimate Origins by Brian Michael Bendis and Butch Guice. "What we're trying to do is bring excitement into the Ultimate universe," Loeb said. "Make it a place where the unexpected happens."

Loeb then showed a teaser image from Ultimatum by David Finch (below), showing a giant hand and several Ultimate universe characters

Oh we've heard that before! Still, the crossover seems interesting if only because of Magneto's involvement. I haven't read any of the Ultimate books since The Ultimates Volume 2 concluded, but has anything exciting been happening in that 'verse?

"Oh Lois, you SO don't want to know!"

Comic of the Week

Review: Stormwatch #1 Stormwatch #1, the first of DC's new 52 to feature LGBT characters (before the reboot, at least) is out to add a new cosmic dimension to the post-Flashpoint universe. There isn't much to be said for our beloved broship yet (though the last page shows a handshake between Apollo and Midnighter and promises a "Big Bang"), but the issue is a great gauge for whether or not you'll want to stick with the series to see the romance purportedly unfold....
