WW LA News: The End Of Countdown! Another Justice League?

Marvel isn't the only major publisher with scoop at the Wizard World LA Convention; DC also brought some with them. Here are some tidbits collected by the folks at Newsarama as well as a friend who has been checking in with me.
Jump to see the good, the bad, and the huh?
Good news:
- The previously announced Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman title, Trinity, will stand on it's own. My bank account thanks DC Comics.
- Previously announced discussion about the return of Manhunter.
- Hints that The Secret Six will be returning in some form. Here's hoping Gail Simone might be able to be involved.
- James Robinson has begun working on a new Justice League team-up book featuring Hal Jordan, Green Arrow, Ray Palmer, Supergirl, Batwoman (see below for more on this point), Shazam, and Starman.
- An issue of Jonah Hex drawn by Darwyn Cooke. Talk about a great team-up.
- All-Star Wonder Woman is still in the works but they don't want to get behind so they are holding off until they can be sure to keep the releases on time.
Bad news:
- Fans at the convention seemed to indicate they like buying a weekly title. My bank account is once again angry.
- All-Star Batgirl is on hold. I was really hoping for some new perspective on an old favorite. Very sad.
- Aquaman is coming back. I can't help it. I have never seen this character as relatable. Yes, I understand we are talking superheroes but I just don't get the appeal. Certainly if there are any Aquaman fans here who think they can sway me I will happily take suggestions as to runs that have worked.
Mixed Feelings:
- It was confirmed that The Question will turn up in the first and last issues of the Final Crisis and it was rumored that Greg Rucka might be working on a new mini for the character. Why can't she get her own monthly book especially with Rucka at the helm? Beyond the obvious LGBT interest, The Question has so much potential for the DC Universe. Renee has had a really rough go of it since her Gotham Central days. Considering how Crime Bible ended not seeing The Question in a monthly title is a giant waste of a new character incarnation by a fantastically gritty writer.
- More talk of the new Judd Winick/Ian Churchill Titans book. DiDio explained it would be more of a relationship book which I see as a good sign. Focus on character is always key to the best storytelling. However, did he really equate it to the TV show Friends? Next time perhaps examples like Buffy the Vampire Slayer might help peek reader's interest because something tells me comparing a book to Friends doesn't make folks want to buy it.
- Batwoman. Although I am very happy to hear she will be part of the new Justice League book I am also a tad bitter. Unlike my feelings on The Question I want Batwoman to see her own book because I want an LGBT character to have her, or his, own monthly title. DC chased a ton of press when they announced this re-imagined lesbian Batwoman and to have shelved rumored plans for her own book makes me feel used. I guess we will just have to wait and see how this Justice League inclusion plays out.
May the debates, on all this news, begin!

If you've never been able to relate to Aquaman, then you should check out the beginning of the 6th Aquaman series. The first 10 or 12 issues were written by Rick Veitch in 2002-2003, I believe.
It was one of the most ridiculously homoerotic things I've ever seen. Highlights include:
-Nearly naked Aquaman bound to a cliff.
-Aquaman receiving a magical garter belt from the Lady of the Lake, which he wraps around the stump where his left hand used to be, to regrow a water-hand.
-Lesbian warrior sidekicks that're reminiscent of Xena.
-A naked Aquaman ordering one of his guards to remove his pants, since Aquaman had lost his. The guard then goes for several issues completely naked. For some reason.
Wow, I'm sold on checking out that series!
I haven't consistently followed him, but I always thought Aquaman was pretty badass.
So far I'm a little more excited about Final Crisis than Secret Invasion.
I can't say that new league roster really grabs my attention.
:-\
I'm hoping it's Robinson that brings the magic. I also like it's lacking the big three.
