Video: Smallville Preview For Tonight's Episode 'Hero'

I love One Republic, and I think the lead singer isn't too hard on the eyes.

Anyway, back to the main point of this post. There are so many reasons why I stopped watching Smallville way back in its second season. The kryptonite monster-of-the-week episodes, the stilted acting of main man Tom Welling (and anyone in his proximity), the slow burning main story arc (if any) of each season, horrible special effects, etc.

Let's check this list against the above clip for tonight's episode:

Kryptonite of the week? Check! (in a pack of Stride gum...really?)
Stilted acting? Check! (thanks Tom!)
Slow story arc? I'm not too sure, haven't been watching, but I can guess that it's a check!
Horrible special effects? Check! (in spades!)

And hey, didn't that guy die? And who's the blond dude? Is Clark wearing the costume yet? Where's Lana?
