Titans #1 Looks To Bring Back All-Star Cast

titans.jpg

I liked the 2003 revamp of the Titans that brought together both the members of Young Justice and the Titans to form the new Teen Titans. The series has been suffering from a ho-hum cast lately, as well as a general lack of purpose so it's great news that writer Judd Winick (Green Arrow, The Outsiders, Exiles) will be bringing back old favorites to reunite in Titans #1.

Making the line up are: Nightwing, Beast Boy, Raven, Starfire, Donna Troy, Cyborg, and Flash.

Catch the debut issue when it hits shelves in April!

I dunno, Winicks' story telling has been kinda sketchy lately. Maybe the whole Green Arrow gimmick left a bad impression on me.

I don't know. I'd be really excited about this if Winick weren't writing this, but I hated GA/BC so much.

Ah, Young Justice. How I miss it.

New Teen Titans was the series that got me in to comics and I am really hoping (really!) that they don't stuff this up. The lineup is great, the potential is great, all it needs is for them not to do what they did with every Titans series since Titans Hunt ended way back when...

i've only read a handful of TT comix back in the...um... early 90's maybe, or vaguely around the first Crisis, i don't know. but i seem to remember these same Titans (C-listers like Terra, Kole, and Jericho don't count) in the line up back then. how different is the storytelling now with the same Titans?

Comic of the Week

Review: Stormwatch #1 Stormwatch #1, the first of DC's new 52 to feature LGBT characters (before the reboot, at least) is out to add a new cosmic dimension to the post-Flashpoint universe. There isn't much to be said for our beloved broship yet (though the last page shows a handshake between Apollo and Midnighter and promises a "Big Bang"), but the issue is a great gauge for whether or not you'll want to stick with the series to see the romance purportedly unfold....
