DC And Andreyko Bring Back Manhunter
This is the kind of news that makes my weekend. Newsarama.com is reporting that DC and Marc Andreyko are coming back to Manhunter.
The character of Kate Spencer, and her hero alter ego, have had a rocky road. The title has appeared and disappeared not once but twice but it seems the book just won't stay dead. Kate has been appearing in numerous DC titles in the last year, most notably Birds of Prey, and thanks to continued fan interest it's time for a new launch.
This time out it will Alias artist Michael Gaydos creating the look of the book. Gaydos is a personal favorite of mine and I suspect will lend a needed grittier feeling to a series that could easily take the place vacated by the end of Gotham Central.
For those here not familiar with Manhunter I would highly recommend picking up the trades. The stories are compelling and were GLAAD nominated in 2007 for Outstanding Comic Book.

Boy Meets Hero by Chayne Avery and Russell Garcia
It looks like WW has had pelvis reduction surgery and had trick joints installed... right after she had four of her ribs and several vital organs removed!
I hate the way some of the artists draw women - it's like a Dali inspired version of Pamela Anderson before the silicone was removed!
Hey, the interior artists on that trade paperback drew her fine -- blame Art Adams for that broken-back artwork. :)
I'm glad Manhunter is returning as well, but you'll forgive me for saying I wish the art team from the last run were returning, as we could use the bucks. :)
