BBC On The Legendary Alan Moore

alan_moore.gif

There should be no doubt in any comic fan's mind that Alan Moore is a genius. Such revered works as Watchmen, V for Vendetta, and Lost Girls have all courted controversy for pushing readers to think about things that go beyond what society deems safe and comfortable.

For those Pink Krytonite readers in the UK, tonight (March 21st), BBC One's Inside Out will be interviewing the man behind stories that stay with us long after we put them down.

Having read many interviews with Alan Moore I am sure it will be a fascinating profile that is well worth watching.

More on the program can be found here.

Any comic geek who knows his stuff will not just call him a genius, they will call Mr. Moore "He, who is Dark Lord of the Comic Realm. He who offers the forbidden fruit of censorship be damned and mature, sophisticated if not contrived stories."

All hail the Dark Lord~!!!

Hehe... Seriously though, I hope they do their research before farting things up... I am hell not gonna lower my standards when it comes to one of my favourite authors, especially from BBC.

"Oh Lois, you SO don't want to know!"

Comic of the Week

Review: Stormwatch #1 Stormwatch #1, the first of DC's new 52 to feature LGBT characters (before the reboot, at least) is out to add a new cosmic dimension to the post-Flashpoint universe. There isn't much to be said for our beloved broship yet (though the last page shows a handshake between Apollo and Midnighter and promises a "Big Bang"), but the issue is a great gauge for whether or not you'll want to stick with the series to see the romance purportedly unfold....
