My biggest resource was comicshoplocator.com. By just plugging in any US or Canadian zip code it gives a list of the stores nearby as well as contact information and their website address if they have one.

Another helpful site is yelp.com. Yelp covers just about everything a city offers. Just drop in the city, state or zip and what you are searching for and if people are talking about it then you will find it.

One such shop I found with the help of the Internet was Silver Snail Comics in Toronto, Canada. Located on Queen Street West, amongst a variety of different shopping options from second hand bookstores to small record stores, Silver Snail is two and a half floors of comics, action figures, and everything else a fanboy, or girl, could want. They have all the new releases for the week as well as items, such as action figures, that are more difficult to find in the states.

The one downside has more to do with the city then the store. I headed over on a Sunday when most stores in Toronto don't open until noon, including the major shopping malls such as Eaton Centre.

It wasn't that bad though. When I arrived I found a line to get in which meant it had to be a great place to grab what I needed. While waiting I wasn't the least bit bored as the front of the store is painted with some of the greatest heroes and villains in comic book history.
