It's Finally Out

It’s the week that DC Comic fans have been waiting for as Justice League: The New Frontier hits DVD store shelves. The second of DC’s PG-13 animated movie line-up; it features the voice talent of such gay favorites as Lucy Lawless as Wonder Woman and Neil Patrick Harris as The Flash. If that isn’t enough to peak the interest of Pink Kryptonite readers than the retro look might.

Based on Darwyn Cooke’s 2004 book (Cooke also served as a co-producer and co-writer on the project) it bridges the gap between comic’s golden and silver ages. DC released the film as a single DVD and a two-disc special edition that has many additional extras including documentaries and commentaries.

Will Justice League surpass Superman: Doomsday and keep the pressure on Marvel in the animated landscape? Here’s hoping! Nothing brings out creativity and innovation more than some healthy competition.

Well save for a few hillarious campy parts. Like Wonders Woman's "FIGHT ON!" screaming to NO ONE AT ALL. And Arthur's random show up after everything and party down at the after fight party.

It's was pretty damned cool.

I have yet to hear a bad review on this film! I can't wait to see it.

I'm not really into DC, aside from Checkmate and the odd issue of various series here and there, but this movie has me interested for the voice-talent alone.
I didn't even know about Lucy and Neil being in it, but they defenitly make me want it even more.

"Oh Lois, you SO don't want to know!"

Comic of the Week

Review: Avengers: The Children's Crusade #1 I literally clapped my hands together and said OhMyGodYesssss when the friendly staff member at my regular shop held this book out to hand it to me. Allan Heinberg and Jim Cheung finally - finally - return to this title with a nine issue limited series. I will spare you paragraphs of pontification and cut to the chase: it's not just good, it's the best thing Marvel has going, period. Read on for the pontification and petty quibbles!...
