What Are You Reading This Weekend?
With holidays coming up, I'm ready to stock up on some trades that I've been meaning to read. But before I do that, I have to catch up on my monthlies. This week I'll be checking out:

I'm waiting for the gigantic X-Men extravaganza known as Messiah Complex to be collected in trade , as crossovers make me have really bad early 90s thoughts.

Frater Mine by Sean McGrath and Juan Romera
Besides the new Wednesday books, I picked up a back issue DC book. Printed in 1999, Legends of the DC Universe: Crisis on Infinite Earths features a multi-cultural JAA (Justice Alliance of America). A Superman and Superwoman of color, possibly an Arab Wonder Woman, a Native American Green Arrow and an Asian American Flash. The JAA had an underwater headquarters that was eventually destroyed by Crisis Event. A very cool read for a few extra bucks.
Oooo, you're in for a treat with the Buffy's. The Faith arc is pretty awesome and has an awesome ending with a few surprises to boot (as always). I'm going to have to wait on After the Fall #2 though, because the comic shop in my parents' town doesn't carry the Angel series.
Just picked up the buffy collection, I purposely avoided it to be able to read it all at once.
All those 90's multi-title crossovers are what drove me out of comics. They were good as long as they were a rare treat, but they tried shoving them down your throat every month it seemed, and most of the "other" titles you had to buy you had zero interest in (yeah, I know, that was the point). Worst of all, NOTHING ever happened at the end of the crossover! Everything went back to status quo.
OMG i hated that angel after the fall #2. All the girls in that issue looked the same and their are inconsistencies between them. BTW they messed up Illyria. they should have gotten the artist from buffy season 8 omg taht completely roxs my sox.
