Udon Releasing LOTS Of Capcom Comics In 2008

chunlicomic.jpg

UDON is one of those studios which I both admire and glare at (metaphorically) when I read their comics. On one hand, they do a damn fine job with the art for each title I've seen them involved with, particularly the Taskmaster miniseries and the first few issues of Cable & Deadpool. On the other hand, a lot of the comics they end up illustrating are really dumb, like Sentinel and Vampi, and it seems like their artwork is a dross finish designed to sell something that readers normally wouldn't be interested in.

Aside from announcing a slew of upcoming Street Fighter comics (Street Fighter II Turbo, Street Fighter Legends: Chun-Li and Street Fighter III: New Generation), a couple of Onimusha and Devil Kings comics have been announced as well.

I enjoyed their Exalted comic, though it could've stood a more fleshed out story line.

Comic of the Week

Review: Avengers: The Children's Crusade #1 I literally clapped my hands together and said OhMyGodYesssss when the friendly staff member at my regular shop held this book out to hand it to me. Allan Heinberg and Jim Cheung finally - finally - return to this title with a nine issue limited series. I will spare you paragraphs of pontification and cut to the chase: it's not just good, it's the best thing Marvel has going, period. Read on for the pontification and petty quibbles!...
