Roth Discusses Upcoming Abomination Role

abomination.jpg

Tim Roth is one of my favorite villainous actors. Seriously, there are few people who convey evil quite so well as he does; that's why I was totally stoked to hear that he would be playing the role of Emil Blonsky (AKA The Abomination) in the upcoming Incredible Hulk movie. Roth's approach to the movie role is actually a fairly good one: he wanted to create a performance that would make his friends happy.

"What's such fun about it is that I'm purely doing it for my kids, purely," Roth said while promoting his latest project, the SF drama Youth Without Youth. "So I'd be on set and go, 'OK, is this scene cool for my kids?' And if it's not, we'd check into it and say, 'OK, now we can't do that, because they'll find that silly and childish.'"

Comic of the Week

Review: Stormwatch #1 Stormwatch #1, the first of DC's new 52 to feature LGBT characters (before the reboot, at least) is out to add a new cosmic dimension to the post-Flashpoint universe. There isn't much to be said for our beloved broship yet (though the last page shows a handshake between Apollo and Midnighter and promises a "Big Bang"), but the issue is a great gauge for whether or not you'll want to stick with the series to see the romance purportedly unfold....
