LGBT Character Of The Week: Midnighter

We return to the LGBT Character of the Week with the black leather daddy himself, Midnighter.
Midnighter first appeared in volume 2, issue #4 of Stormwatch, as one of two survivors of a Justice League-esque, black ops superteam created by Henry Bendix. The other survivor? His (now) husband Apollo. After their disastrous initial mission, they went underground for years to avoid Bendix, until they were found by his successor and notified of his death.
After the fall of Stormwatch. Midnighter (along with Apollo) became a founding member of The Authority, a super-team focused not on protecting the status quo, but making a finer world. Usually through extreme violence.
Midnighter has enhanced senses, strength, and reflexes. His brain is capable of computing over a million combat scenarios in a second, meaning that before you've even thrown your first punch at him, he's figured out almost every single possible outcome and what he needs to do to get there. This makes it extremely hard to surprise him in combat.
Currently Midnighter is seen the The Authority and he also has his own series, which is just entering its second year.

I'd say it's only Midnighter who preferes extreme violence, the rest of The Authority lean more towards pacifism.
But a great article! More people need to get into The Authority. :D
I don't know, saying that The Authority favors violence is pretty accurate.
They've all gone ultra-violent at one time or another, in order to get the job done.
The Midnighter certainly enjoys it more than everyone else, but they do all use it to accomplish their goals.
Ah, Midnighter and Apollo. Comicdom's best representation of what it'd be like if Supes and Bats decided to shack up. XD Power to the people.
